Security at movd
You send us video of your home to get a quote. That is personal, so here is plainly how we look after it and who can see it.
How your data is protected
All traffic to movd is encrypted in transit. Video and photos are held in private storage that is not browsable and not linked from anywhere public. When our crew needs to watch a clip, the app creates a link that stops working after 24 hours.
Who can see your move
Your quote link is private to you. Inside movd, access is split by job: crew see the job sheet only, which is the addresses, timings, items and access notes, with no prices, no contact details and no video. Ops staff can work on bookings and quotes. Only an owner can change pricing or read the audit trail.
Every view is recorded
Opening a booking, editing an item list or changing pricing writes a permanent entry recording who did it, when and from which address. Those entries cannot be edited or deleted by anyone, including us.
Two-step sign in
Staff accounts support an authenticator app on top of a password, and sessions sign out automatically after inactivity and after a maximum of eight hours.
Payments
Card details never touch movd. Payment is taken by Stripe on their own checkout page. A booking is only marked as paid when Stripe tells us so with a cryptographically signed message we verify.
How long we keep your video
Capture video and photos are deleted 90 days after your job completes. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time using the delete button on your booking page, or by emailing hello@movd.world.
Monitoring
We record and alert on things worth a human looking at: repeated failed sign-ins, failed two-step checks, invalid payment messages and unusual bursts of activity from one address.
Reporting a problem
If you think you have found a security issue, email hello@movd.world with the words SECURITY REPORT in the subject. Please give us enough detail to reproduce it. We aim to acknowledge within two working days, and we will not pursue anyone who reports a genuine issue in good faith and does not access other people's data.
